Let His Blood Be On Us

“Look, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!”
~ Apostle John; John 1:29

“For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.“ ~ The LORD; Hebrews 8:12

“Let his blood be on us and on our children!” ~ Israel; Matthew 27:25

After reading the last chapter above, I thought, "We are all Barabbas...".

Here are some of my meditations during the DOA enjoy.

Jesus took our place so he could deliver us from sin and death. He did something for us that the blood of bulls and goats could never do for the children of Israel (Hebrews 10:1-10). Thanks be to God, Christ is the final atonement for our sins.

On this 10th day of the Hebrew calendar month, we thank the Father (2 Corinthians 5:21) that Christ sacrificed, paid in full, afflicted his body and soul; atoned for our sins ONCE and for all his people. Our king, our sacrifice, Our high priest, our atonement, our restoration to God 👑 Let's meditate on this memorial day by showing how grateful we ought to be of his sacrifice, daily, by showing that we love God and his people, knowing that these two laws culminate his teachings.

it is impossible to observe the Day of Atonement as set forth under the Creator God's covenant with ancient Israel without denying the sacrifice of Christ. Moreover, without a temple in Jerusalem for God's presence to dwell in, a Levitical Priesthood, and a sacrificial system, the conditions and the reasons for which this national fast was intended do not exist.

Also, I was thinking... the fast in Acts 27:9 does not denote that Paul fasted on that day....just a thought.

Plus, no works of the flesh can justify us before God or cleanse us from our sins. Thank God that we could never have what it takes to properly atone for our yearly sins in any capacity of affliction we do to our own flesh (Psalms 51:16-17, Hosea 6:6, Micah 6:6-8). It is not through works of the flesh (or fasting of the law in which came with death as punishment if not performed) that we are atoned or made innocent or are justified for our sins from the year, but it is through Christ death and sacrificial blood that we are justified before the Father.

Christ is our Atonement.

Fasting was required by law for innocence and for God to continue to dwell in the temple and if we refused we would be cut off. But now we are the temple of God and God through Christ lives in us. Christ said he is with us always even to the end of the world (Matthew 28:20). Plus fasting on this holyday does not justify us before the Father, but Christ does.

Christ did the work for us once for all. No works of the law will flesh be justified. God has no dual standard to be justified and remain justified through Christ’s sacrifice. God guarantees His presence with his people through His son Christ because he said so. Whatever had to be done Our Messiah did it once & for all. Whatever penalty, he paid in full ONCE, alone, and for all (1 Peter 2:24).  😊🙌🏾🤗👑🌹💫

Christ was spat on and disrespected to substitute himself for our sins.

Justice was made through him.

”I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain" ~ Beloved Apostle Paul; Galatians 2:20-21

Glory to the Father and His son forever and ever amen!

Enjoy this memorial Day of Atonement, convocation and rest as we believe him, the Messiah; our Grace.
